Step-by-Step Narration

Access PCU SIMS

PCU uses an online portal for all international student applications. This system is known as PCU SIMS (Petra Christian University System Integration for Management of International Student Services).

You can access the portal here: https://international-registration.petra.ac.id/

The Importance of Data Accuracy

PCU SIMS is designed to support your entire journey, including your initial registration, Indonesian student visa application, and your final academic onboarding. Because the information you provide will be used for official university records and government visa documents, it is very important that all data you enter is 100% accurate and matches your official documents.

Personal Information

Contact details and identity documents

In this step, you will provide your contact information and identity details. This allows us to establish your official record and reach you throughout the application process.

To avoid delays, please have the following items ready before you start:
  • Coloured Photo
  • Passport Document
  • Whatsapp Number
  • Home Address in your country
  • Correspondence Address in your country
  • Home Address in Indonesia, only if you are already residing in Indonesia

Academic Qualification Status

Educational background and English proficiency

In this step, you will provide details of your educational background. Because every country has different grading systems, please use our Application Documents by Education System guide to ensure you provide the correct files for your curriculum.

You will need these documents to prove your previous academic qualification:
  • Official Academic Transcript, Result from Standardised Test and High School Degree Certificate.
    Reminder: Check the requested standard of your academic qualification here Application Documents by Education System
  • English Language Proficiency Test score or A Request for Language Requirement Waiver.

Note: After completing Step 2, you will need to wait for PCU Admission Team to verify your academic qualification. Once verified, the system will grant you access to Step 3. Program Application.

Program Application

Selecting your programs and taking admission tests

Once you have access to Step 3, you are ready to select your academic programs and complete the admission tests.

To begin with, you must first pay the Application Fee to get your Registration Code. This code will be sent to your email after the Application Fee is paid. Please go to our Payment Methods section for guidance on available transaction options.

After receiving your Registration Code, you can relogin to PCU SIMS to submit your academic program choices. You may choose for a maximum of 2 (two) academic programs.

Available Programs:

The Admission Test consists of:

Written Admission Test

This test is mandatory for students from non-partner schools and is required for all programs. The test is divided into two sections: Mathematics (logic) and English. Please prepare a PC or laptop with a Mozilla browser, a stable internet connection, and scrap paper.

Special Admission Test

Certain programs have additional requirements that are mandatory for all applicants to those specific majors.

Process Summary:
  • Pay the Application Fee
  • Receive the Registration Code in your email inbox
  • Choose a maximum of 2 (two) academic programs
  • Check and fulfil the Entry Requirements of your program choices
  • Check and do the Admission Tests at https://petra.ac.id/test-information
Note: After completing Step 3, you will need to wait for PCU Admission Team to verify your submitted documents and Admission Test. Upon successful verification, you will receive a Conditional Offer Letter and access to Step 4 (Definitive Registration) in the Second Stage Screening. The letter will be uploaded to your PCU SIMS and sent to your email.
SECOND STAGE SCREENING

Definitive Registration

Choosing your final program and paying tuition fees

Stage 4 begins the Second Stage Screening process. After receiving your Conditional Offer Letter from the First Stage Screening, you will complete your Definitive Registration. This process confirms your intention to join PCU and grants you definitive status as a student.

Process Summary:
  • Make a final decision and choose one academic program you want to study
  • Pay your tuition fees (including the visa fees)
  • Submit supporting documents for your visa application
Note: After completing Step 4, you will need to wait for the Admission Team's verification on your Definitive Registration. Upon successful verification, you will receive a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) and access to Step 5. The letter will be uploaded to your PCU SIMS and sent to your email.

Final Confirmation

Receiving your Student ID Number and activating your PCU email

At this stage, you will get the result of Second Stage Screening, which is a Letter of Acceptance. The letter will be released via PCU SIMS and also sent to your email inbox.

The Letter of Acceptance will provide you with a Student Identification Number (NRP = Nomor Registrasi Pokok) to confirm your official status as a student of Petra Christian University. Along with that, you will also receive a link instruction to activate your PCU email account which needs to be accessed by using a combination of your student ID number and PCU student email domain.

Your PCU email account will be the official media PCU Admission Team use to communicate with you while preparing your safe arrival in Indonesia. You will receive your online pre-departure briefing and access information to the registered courses for your first year through your PCU email inbox.
